ST. RICHARD

St. Richard of Chichester, born in 1197, was an English bishop and is celebrated for his deep spirituality, dedication to reforming the clergy, and commitment to the poor. St. Richard of Chichester was born around the year 1197, in the Kingdom of England. In 1244, he was appointed Bishop of Chichester, following a turbulent time in the English Church. He was a tireless advocate for pastoral care, often going on long journeys to reach the farthest corners of his diocese to bring spiritual comfort and guidance to his people.
