ST. NAMADIA

Saint Namadia, wife of Saint Calminius, was a 6th or 7th-century Christian saint from Auvergne, France. After her husband's death, she retired to the monastic community at Marsat, which later became affiliated with Mozac Abbey. Her feast day is celebrated on January 13. Namadia is depicted alongside her husband on the 12th-century Saint Calminius Reliquary, housed in the church of Mozac Abbey.

Saint Namadia is a lesser-known Christian saint from the 6th or 7th century, associated with the region of Auvergne in France. She is recognized in certain Orthodox Christian traditions as a holy woman and nun. Details about her life are scarce, and her feast day is not widely commemorated.

The name "Namadia" is also used as a given name, albeit rarely. It is considered a feminine name and is notably used in countries like France and Malaysia. However, it is not among the most common names globally.

Additionally, "Namadia" is a surname found in parts of Central Africa, particularly in Cameroon, Gabon, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In these regions, it is relatively rare, with only a few individuals bearing the name.
